Last Quarter Moon in Aries on July 6, 2018 at 12:51am PDT/3:51am EDT/8:51am GMT
Life is complex these days. Fortunately, the planets help us understand what’s going on.
Since the Moon is in Aries in this Last Quarter Moon, we have to pay attention to what its ruler, Mars, is doing. Mars, the planet of willpower is in Aquarius, retrograde, out-of-bounds, and in an uncomfortable spot with the Cancer Sun and Saturn in Capricorn.
Your head may be in the clouds and your body may be exhausted from the physical pulse of the retrograde Mars in Aquarius stirring things up to find another way.
While the Sun in Cancer, Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Scorpio create a grand water trine to float in, Mars is opposed to relaxing in the water as it feels like there’s work to be done.
It’s as if there are two realities, one perspective presents the cosmic possibilities in an egoless universe, while the other is focused on overcoming the physical challenges of living life on Earth.
There’s no sidestepping, as Cancerian Crabs do, that this Last Quarter Moon message is a caution to not push too hard to achieve your dreams. You’ll have to trust that everything will happen organically by holding steady and avoiding direct confrontation or aggravation. More stress won’t push through the resistance. And ignoring internal pressure won’t bring you the peace you seek.
This is a tough spot in many personal lives and illustrated by the events going on in the world. Cancer is the Cosmic Mother, here to nurture her those who need her enveloping love. There are over 2,000 children in the U.S. being held without any record of to whom they belong, after being separated from their immigrant parents.
You may well know this is only one of many disruptive factors of this time. It’s hard to take your eyes off of it, while you wonder how we got here and what can be done to bring this fractured reality back together.
Pluto, the unflinching transformer, is active in this Last Quarter Moon and points to what’s going on in the week ahead as we get closer to the very powerful Cancer Solar Eclipse next week. Life as we know it is changing and Pluto does the work of raising the dysfunction to light so that it can be witnessed and resolved.
Within the chaos, can you create quiet moments to reflect on what’s most important to you and how your living either supports or counters your true values? Let go of anything that isn’t nurturing what’s true for you. This is a big part of how you can help now.
